Devil Pups is a non-profit organization designed to help teens 14-17 from all backgrounds gain self-confidence and learn to take responsibility for their actions. People wonder “Why the name Devil Pups?” The term “Devil Dogs” was used by German soldiers to describe Marines fighting in World War I. The Marines who organized this youth citizenship program chose the term “Devil Pups” to describe the quality of teen who can complete this program.

Looking for Graduation Photos
Devil Pups and Parents: I promised you a coffee table book that could be purchased from the blog page. I am still waiting for photos, but I haven't forgotten my promise. If any of you have photos you can send, I will then add them to our 2018 photo album and build a book from them. I'll post here again when it is finished. The books make great family Christmas gifts.

2018 Thank You Tour
Devil Pups: We have been invited to breakfast with the Marines of the Utah Dixie Detachment #1270, Marine Corps League, on September 8, Saturday morning, 8:30 a.m., for a free breakfast (for the pup and mom and dad) and a few minutes of their meeting to introduce yourselves and thank them for their support. The meeting is held at the Elks Lodge located at 630 W. 1250 No, St. George.
We want to thank them for the donation they made to the program and let them see where their fundraising was used. Please let me know if you and your parents can make this breakfast meeting. E-mail me at dtoole at sunrivertoday dot com and let me know how many from your family will attend.
The Color Country Chapter of the D.A.R. will also want to host you at one of their upcoming meetings. I will arrange this meeting with the AFJROTC instructors and let you know when that will be.

6:00 p.m.

Pizza Factory in Ancestor Square - in the room upstairs
2018 Devil Pups and families: Save the date - August 16. Please meet at Pizza Factory in Ancestor Square in St. George for our annual Devil Pups Awards Night. Pizza Factory did not have any earlier openings, so we will make the evening as short as possible for students.
The Pizza Factory will furnish an all-you-can-eat buffet of pizza, bread sticks, salad and sodas for only $8 per person. Children under 5 years of age are free. (SoUtah Devil Pups will pick up their cost.) Please come prepared with cash for your family, or if you need to write a check, please make it to Pizza Factory and NOT to Devil Pups.
We will be awarding certificates to all graduating pups, George Class Certificates and ribbons to those involved with a uniform service, such as AFJROTC, and a gift from the staff. We will start the evening with dinner and move into awards quickly, during dinner, so as to end the evening as soon as possible for students.
DEVIL PUPS: Please wear your Devil Pup uniform.
