2018 Devil Pups

We are starting to take applications for the 2018 Devil Pup summer camp, which will take place July 19-28, 2018 at Camp Pendleton, California.  To get your name on the list, please contact Bryce Lewis at (435) 668-9761 or e-mail Donna at dtoole (at) sunrivertoday (dot) com.  (You know how to put that in an e-mail, right??)

There will be presentations at Dixie High AFJROTC and Pine View AFJROTC in the coming weeks for those of you who are interested.  Sign-up sheets will be available.

Training will be early mornings at a location to be announced later.  Generally training is every Saturday while school is in session and three times a week after school is out.  You will need these training sessions to excel at camp.

Please keep in mind that we will train you and transport you to Southern California in July but your parents (or guardians, etc.) will need to attend graduation on the 28th to share the joy - and to take you home.  We do not provide transportation home.  Graduation from Devil Pup camp is a highlight in your life and you will want to share it with family and friends.

Kyle Grable Receives Award

10 Nov 2017, Donna Toole and Kyle Grable
Commandant Al Lieski of the Utah State Department, Marine Corps League, honored Kyle Grable with a plaque for his accomplishments over the course of two Devil Pup seasons.  Kyle just missed qualifying for 2016 Devil Pup camp, but went on to work out and prepare and in the process lost 50 pounds.  He returned for 2017 tryouts and is now one of our honored Devil Pup graduates.  Congratulations, Kyle!!

26 Oct 2017 - Honors from State of Utah Marine Corps League

26 Oct 2017 at Dixie High AFJROTC building, St. George, Utah
2017 Devil Pup graduates being honored by Utah State Department Commandant Albert Lieske.  Sr. Vice Commandant of the Utah Dixie Detachment #1270, Larry Mineer, was on hand (right above) to assist the Commandant with awards.  Each Pup received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Department, a challenge coin, and top achievers, Alena and Tanner, received plaques for their efforts.  Commandant's talk was inspiring and motivating, and we were so honored for his visit from Logan, UT.  Many thanks to Col. Kenneth Field of Dixie High AFJROTC and Col. Thomas Brown and SMSgt Thomas of Pine View High AFJROTC for setting up this event.  More photos to follow when Marine Fortune's photos are available.

2017 Oct 26 - Marine Corps League Award

2017 Devil Pups:  The date and time has been set for the Marine Corps League State Commandant to come to St. George to award certificates to those of you who successfully completed the 2017 Devil Pup camp.  We are honored to have Commandant Lieske recognize our Devil Pup graduates!!

Commandant Lieske will be here on Thursday, the 26th, at 1:00 p.m. at the Dixie High AFJROTC building (with Alena and Adrian coming from Pine View for this event).  I am hoping that it is OK with everyone involved if the Devil Pups wear their Devil Pup uniforms on Thursday.  We will have the photographer from the local Marine Corps League there to take photographs.

See you Thursday.
